A unique investment for sale, the tower house Francesco N. Sommaripa (Sommerive) from 1656, located on Naxos Island, Greece. This is a ruined tower-house from the Venetian period situated in the small village of Kanakari in the Sangri region of Naxos. It is 11.6 km from all beaches and towns (within the settlement) and constructs a total of 444,490. An archaeological approval has been obtained with an official document prior to the purchase. Naxos has 34 direct boat connections to the islands of the Cyclades and Dodecanese, as well as Crete, which is its biggest advantage. It is the greenest and most fertile Cyclades island with a population of 20,000 year-round residents. It serves as the center of the Aegean, warmer than Athens, and many people from abroad already stay here all year round. At the lintel of one of the windows, there is the inscription “1656 F.N.S”, which obviously refers to the year of construction and the initials of the first owner Francesco N. Sommaripa. The Sommaripa family was a noble Venetian family of the Cyclades. The originator of the house was a French knight named de Sommerive, who married the daughter of the former Duke of Naxos, Maria Sanoudos, in 1361. The building is also known as “Tower of Kourkas” after another owner. The roof of the tower collapsed during a storm in 1940. Before that, it must have been similar to the other 17th-century mansions of the island. Next to the tower lies the Orthodox church of Panagia Kanakariotissa. During the Venetian era, this was a “dual” temple (Orthodox and Roman).
